Body of Vehicle is all-metal construction with a hatch above and alighting hatch behind, providing 12-seats Cabin has two-door single-seat construction with windshield glazing, protected by bumper bar. Steering system has steering booster. Brakes system includes pneumatic actuator and hermetic multi-disk brake gears in oil sump.
Single wheels, filled with polyurethane, provide high reliability in comparison with inflated tyres.
There is diesel power unit Perkins 1104C-44 of explosion-proof version whith a system of automatic brake down in case of excessing temperature conditions installed on Vehicle Krot-2. Exhaust system is equipped with flame trap and flame bowl. Engine starting system is of hydraulic type. There is free-running firefighting system in the cabin with hand control. Ts is equipped with a tackle with tractive force 3-5t. Electric lighting system includes two frontal headlights and two rear headlights.
Vehicle Krot-2 is produced in explosion-proof version in accordance with ÐÄ 05-311-99.
It is possible to produce TS designated for firefighting, evacuation of injured, oil servicing, gathering of subsoil water, transportation and watering of solid.

Nowadays there is a Vehicle Krot-2 deep modernization work in progress, which will allow to decrease outline dimensions, improve balancing adjustment, increase passing ability and optimize brakes control.
